Dr. Dukundane Alexandre
Medical Professional Dedicated to Global Health Equity
As a medical doctor deeply committed to advancing health equity on a global scale, I specialize in maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and family planning. My journey is marked by a diverse skill set acquired through both hands-on experience and rigorous education, enabling me to make meaningful contributions to healthcare delivery.
In my recent roles as a Quality Improvement and Clinical Associate with Health Builders and Global Health Corps in Kigali, Rwanda, I have provided invaluable mentorship to health centers. My responsibilities include developing strategies to enhance the quality of care, fostering teamwork, and implementing measures to ensure patient safety.
Previously, I served as a Community Lead at Partners In Health, where I facilitated medical students in social and community medicine courses. By bridging the gap between community health workers and students, I played a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals.
Additionally, my tenure as a Master Trainer and Facilitator of Family Planning with JHPIEGO allowed me to impart essential knowledge to lecturers and integrate family planning guidelines into midwifery and nursing school curriculums, furthering the cause of reproductive health education.
My educational journey includes earning a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the esteemed University of Rwanda, followed by a Master of Science in Global Health Delivery from the University of Global Health Equity. My specialization in Gender, Sexual, and Reproductive Health equips me with a nuanced understanding of the complexities inherent in promoting health equity.
I hold certifications in various critical areas such as antenatal care training, family planning, and clinical research. Furthermore, my training in emergency obstetric and neonatal care underscores my commitment to ensuring comprehensive healthcare services for all.
In essence, my professional trajectory underscores a steadfast commitment to improving healthcare delivery, addressing health disparities, and championing health equity worldwide. With a solid academic foundation and practical experience, I remain poised to make enduring contributions to the field of global health.
